Welcome to the general terms of use of Transtonus SARL. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before using our maritime transport and logistics services.
Services
Our services include the maritime transport of goods, logistics, warehousing, packaging, and related services. We are committed to providing these services professionally and in compliance with international standards of quality and safety. Specific details of each service will be agreed upon in writing before the start of the provision.
Customer Responsibilities
The customer is responsible for providing accurate and complete information regarding the goods to be transported, including their nature, weight, dimensions, and any special requirements. The customer must ensure that the goods are properly packaged for transport unless this service is explicitly provided by us. The customer is also responsible for obtaining all necessary documents for the export, import, and transit of the goods.
Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited in accordance with applicable international conventions on maritime transport (Hague-Visby Rules, Hamburg Rules, etc.). We are not liable for losses or damages resulting from causes beyond our control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, acts of war, terrorism, strikes, government restrictions. Our financial liability is limited to the declared value of the goods or the limits set by international conventions, whichever is lower.
Payment and Rates
Rates are established based on the information provided by the customer. Any changes to the characteristics of the goods or required services may result in a revision of the rates. Payments must be made according to the terms agreed upon in the service contract. Additional fees may apply in case of delay or modification of services requested after the conclusion of the contract.
Termination
Either party may terminate the contract in the event of a material breach of these terms by the other party. In the event of termination, the customer remains responsible for the payment of services already rendered and expenses incurred up to the date of termination.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of France. Any dispute arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of France.
